Screw won't come out
Webb21 okt. 2013 · Attempting put new VESA mount on my new qnix monitor, and right away I'm having trouble with screws. Four screws hold bracket to the 100mm holes in the back of the panel. Two of them are now just half-way in. They won't tighten, and they won't come out. Hoping someone knows a clean, fairly safe way of removing these from the monitor. Webb13 maj 2015 · If space is really tight, try removing the blade and using it with your hands. After that, you'll have to see what you are working with. If you are lucky, maybe you can get some epoxy or glue around the bolt inside of the TV to freeze it and then use locking pliers to remove the rest of the screw or drill it out. I went to Home Depot and bought screws that were 1/4" shorter and it worked. The IKEA screws would get 3/4 of the way in then just strip - hence, the 1/4" shorter version. Webb14 juli 2015 · It might have some sort of threadlocker or other glue in there to keep it from backing out accidentally, you can try actually tightening it a tiny bit (1/8 a turn or less, even that'd be too much) then backing it out. But if the whole thing just isn't turning at all, you just need to turn harder is all.

Webb29 okt. 2015 · Author. if the standoff is stuck to the screw you can remove the whole board and then grip the standoff from the back. but if the standoff is still in the case and its the screw thats messed up you should leave all other screws in so that the board isnt being help up by that one screw. when it comes out it could drop the motherboard.
