If a preschool has a qualified nursery teacher level 6 and above then it's 1:13 but only in school hours, BUT if it's nursery nurses its 1:8. this also goes for after school hours.

When I went with dd's Yr 5 class to the zoo we still had a ratio of 1:5 and it was needed.
